Lower Back Pain & Spine Strength


Lower back pain can be incredibly painful, affecting many otherwise mundane aspects of your daily life. Without a sound lower back, every moment spent out of bed can be challenging, leaving us hopelessly wondering if the pain might ever improve or go away completely. Pain with an unknown cause is also quite stressful. If we can’t identify its cause, how can we ever hope to make it stop?

There is a light at the end of the tunnel, however. Unless caused by serious trauma such as a break, most lower back pain can be lessened or eliminated completely, simply and naturally by a good postural program and a regular exercise routine. No need for drugs or complicated surgeries, just a bit of dedication and effort.

Understanding how it works is probably the best place to start. You have to realize how much support the lower back takes on to begin with today. Whether it’s the head, the shoulders, arms, or anything that provides vertical pressure on the lower back is a culprit. In order to maintain the right feeling in your body, you have to teach all the muscles to be strong when they’re needed most.

Even though the tiny muscles are important, it’s the inward arch that keeps everything strong. Think of it as the stable foundation to keeping the building standing tall. However, if it becomes damaged over time, the pain will start to come in waves. Eventually it will just stay, unless of course you can fix it.

If you have a correct arch, then the structural needs are more than sufficient. The only problem is we screw it up ourselves by doing things that feel natural. When we continue to develop these bad habits, the natural arch appeal diminishes, and lower back pain develops. This is enough to pull the vertebrae out of alignment and reduce the abilities of the arch.

We recommend using the muscles that aren’t often used and contract them up for a controlled period of time. While you’re doing this, try to get all the others to relax. The end result will start to bring the arch back to its original area where you can begin your journey without lower back pain.

It isn’t enough to simply be shown what constitutes good posture, however. Good posture is only effective if used regularly, so it is important to acquire the strength that will enable you to maintain a healthy alignment without reverting to old routines. You must also gain the confidence in your efforts to encourage perseverance, as initial changes will feel very unnatural.

The good news is that the proper posture can do much more than just eliminate back pain. It can give you confidence, better overall health, and give you the joys of life you’ve been missing out on ever since your lower back pain started. Plus, when people see you walk into a room with the proper posture, you’ll have all kinds of self-confidence. It’s a great feeling, and something you shouldn’t put off any longer.
